Walters State Community College saw one of the largest Phi Theta Kappa inductions in its history during fall 2012, according to school officials.
Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society for community colleges.
To qualify for membership, students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better and 15 completed hours of course work.
Students must also be enrolled in a degree program. Locally, members are involved in projects promoting scholarship, leadership, and community service.
Inductees from the Lakeway Area were:
Claiborne County inductees were New Tazewell residents Julie Brooks, LaRonda Walters and Harrogate resident Randall Wright.
From Grainger County, Blaine resident Jake Corum was inducted.
Inducted from Hancock County was Edward Hall from Kyles Ford.
Students inducted from Hawkins County were Sara LaRoy from Rogersville, Donna Fracarossi from Bulls Gap, Jessie Lawson from Mooresburg and Lisa Smith from Mt. Carmel.
Inductees from Greene County include Greeneville residents Ashley Brown, Brandon Chapman, Genevieve Dockery, Leslie Greenier, Robert Greenier, and Connie Worley.
Other inductees from Greene County were Susan Smelcer from Chuckey, Dana Tipton from Limestone, Marty Hixson from Mosheim and Charles Pryor from Mohawk.
From Hamblen County, inductees from Morristown were Kayla Bailey, Jessica David, Rachel Rodriguez and Peter Suich.
Inductees from Russellville were Matthew Knight and Audra Osburn.
Talbott residents inducted were Kenneth Burgett and Ashley Cartee, an education major;
Jefferson County students inducted include New Market residents Stephanie Collins, James Creswell, Ashley Crooke and Jennifer Olvey.
Jefferson County inductees from Dandridge were Clifford Peters and Donna White..
Jeremy Grisham, from White Pine, and Jason Seiber, from Jefferson City, were also inducted.
