Girls Inc. girls of the month selected for October

Grace and Mary Clare Beaty have been selected Girls of the Month for October at Girls Inc. of Hamblen County.

 They were selected based on their participation in activities, character, attitude and because they would make good role models for other girls.

 Grace is 11 years old. She is the daughter of Richard and Susan Beaty.

 She has a 16 year old brother, Trey, and Mary Clare is her sister.

 Grace is a fifth grade student at West Elementary, and attends First Baptist Church of Morristown.

 Her favorite subject is science. She participates in Beta Club and Scholars Bowl, and is a student council representative.

 What she enjoys most about school is participating in 4-H.

 She has been a member of Girls Inc. for one year, where her favorite activities at are sewing and pool.

 Her hobbies are piano, swimming, playing spy, hand bells and clarinet.

 Grace wants to be a astronomer when she grows up.

 Mary Clare is 9 years old and, like her sister, is a member of First Baptist Church in Morristown.

 She is a fourth grade student at West Elementary, where her favorite subject is math.

 At school she is a student council representative and people to people ambassador.

 What she likes most about school is seeing her friends.

 She has been a member of Girls Inc. for one year, and her favorite activities at there are sewing, the pajama party and attending the circus.

 Her hobbies are soccer, clarinet, reading, drawing and hand bells.

 Mary Clare wants to be an artist and writer when she grows up.
