Morristown-Hamblen Library holding contest for biggest savers

The Morristown-Hamblen Library’s contest to find out which two patrons are the Biggest Savers during 2012 will continue through Dec. 31.

Each time a patron checks out materials from the Morristown-Hamblen Library, they receive a receipt informing him or her of their savings.

The savings are how much the patron would have to spend if they had bought each material. The total is accumulated for each time a person checks out items on their library card for up to one year.

The library’s Biggest Saver contest is divided into two levels: Level I is for patrons who did not check out children’s materials; Level II is for patrons who check out children’s and/or adult materials.

Patrons can enter the contest by saving their library check-out receipts and submitting them to a designated box at either: The Main Desk upstairs (for adult materials only), or the Children’s room desk (for children’s and adult materials.) Each library card receipt entered must be dated on or before December 31, 2012.

The two receipts from each level with the most savings will be verified and awarded a $50 prize. The prizes have beem donated by the Friends of the Morristown-Hamblen Library.

The last day to turn in receipts with properly dated information will be Monday, Jan. 14, 2013. The winners will be contacted by Friday, Jan. 18.
