Local businesses do challenge, raise money for ALS

Donations continue to pour in for the ALS Association thanks to the Ice Bucket Challenge and now organizations across the Lakeway Area have accepted the challenge to participate, as well.     Jordan Burchell has been named the new Girls Incorporated Executive Director.

    The board of directors for Girls Incorporated of Hamblen County has announced Jordan Burchell as the permanent executive director for the non-profit organization. Burchell has been the interim executive director since the former title holder, Frankie Cox, left in June. Burchell has been a staff member with Girls Inc., since November as the program director. Morristown West took over sole possession of first place in the Inter Mountain Conference volleyball standings by rolling past Morristown East, 3-0, Tuesday night before a good crowd at Isenberg-Siler Gymnasium.
