A total of 42 golf carts and the shed in which they were stored were a total loss after a fire broke out Sunday evening at the Lost Creek Golf Course in New Market. Family escapes Dandridge home fire

Six people escaped a Saturday evening home fire in Jefferson County without injury, but two dogs perished in the blaze. Andy Riley, chief of the Dandridge Volunteer Fire Department, said the 10:22 p.m. fire in the home of Gerald Stohler and his wife, is of undetermined origin.     A Cocke County man faces charges in connection with the discovery last month of malnourished animals on a farm on Lonesome Pine Road in the Bybee community. It is the second time he has been charged with animal cruelty.     The identity of a man who was killed after a police chase and subsequent standoff, Thursday with multiple law enforcement agencies in Grainger and Claiborne counties has been released. Ricky Lynn Bunch Jr., 41, of Tazewell, had apparently stolen a relative’s car prior to the chase.
