National Weather Service extends winter weather advisory

The winter storm slated to hit East Tennessee late Friday into Saturday has intensified and, as a result, the National Weather Service office in Morristown has extended the area under a winter weather advisory to include Hamblen, Grainger, Jefferson and Cocke counties.
