The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra’s News Sentinel Pops Series presents “Yesterday Once More,” a tribute to the music of the Carpenters, on Saturday, May 12 at 8 p.m., Knoxville Civic Auditorium.

Enjoy the Carpenters’ classic hits: “Close to You,” “Rainy Days and Mondays,” “Top of the World,” and “For All We Know” among others.  Tickets to the concert begin at $35 and may be purchased by logging on to the KSO website, www.knoxvillesymphony.com, or by calling the KSO Box Office at 865-291-3310 or Tickets Unlimited at 865-656-4444.  This show is sponsored by Regal Entertainment Group.

The new show, produced by Grammy-nominated musician and producer Jim Brickman, brings back the enchanting music by the popular 1970’s brother and sister duo, Karen and Richard Carpenter. With the entire Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, directed by Resident Conductor James Fellenbaum, the show brings a star-studded cast of vocalists and musicians.

“The passion I feel creating and producing this show is a testament to the lyrics and the harmonies that made us fall in love with the Carpenters,”  Brickman said.
