Rose Center is pleased to offer a continuation of the Wilton method of cake decorating course. This is the third in the series of classes using this method. Students will learn life-like icing flowers and how to use them, the color flow technique, lace work, new cake top and side borders, and how to assemble tiered cakes (such as wedding cakes). Rolled fondant and gum paste flowers will also be discussed. The class will start on Thursday, April 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. and will meet for five weeks. The fee is $35 and pre-registration is required. Students must have taken Course I to enroll in this class.
Lora Hammond is the instructor for the course. Hammond has been decorating cakes and taking classes since 1974. She is a member of the International Cake Exploration Societe and takes several classes and seminars each year in new styles and techniques. She was honored with the Southeast Territory Wilton Method Instructor of the Year award for 1998.
A supplies list will be provided upon registration. For more information or to pre-register call Rose Center at (423) 581-4330 or 586-6205.
