The Downtown Dance Theater, a nonprofit community dance company, is pleased to announce that we will be hosting our third annual community production of The Nutcracker Ballet in December 2012.
We will be holding open auditions for all roles (except for Sugar Plum and Cavalier, which will be danced by guest artists) Saturday, August 18 from 9am to 12:30pm at the Lakeway School of Ballet and Dance studio (180 W. Main Street, Morristown).
We would love for you to join us! We need boys and girls, men and women, including those without dance experience. Ballet auditions will consist of a brief class separated by age, so female students should wear a solid colored leotard, pink tights and ballet shoes (bring pointe shoes if applicable), and ballet bun. Individuals without ballet experience should wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
Adjudicators unaffiliated with participating studios will cast roles based on attached requirements.
