Knoxville Zoo’s “Bloomin’ Butterfly Gardens” Open

Knoxville Zoo’s popular Bloomin’ Butterfly Gardens, a beautifully landscaped
butterfly habitat, will be opening for Mother’s Day on  from 9:30 a.m. to  6 p.m. Saturday, May 12.
Featuring approximately 900 monarch, painted lady
and red admiral butterflies, Bloomin’ Butterfly
Gardens will be awash with color. The garden also
features a pupae room that allows visitors to watch as clumsy caterpillars metamorphose  and maybe even catch a glimpse of a brand-new butterfly emerging from its chrysalis.
