Jonesborough Movies on Main Series Back for Second Season Downtown
The Jonesborough Area Merchants & Services Assoc., along with The Lollipop Shop of Jonesborough will once again sponsor the Movies on Main event series, running every Saturday through Sept. 1.
Movies on Main began in 2011 by featuring an outdoor showing of a family friendly movie as well as other fun activities designed for all ages. The series is free to attend and open to the public, as they are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs. Movie goers are also encouraged to bring two canned food items as donations to be distributed to the Jonesborough local food bank. Canned food items can be dropped off at The Lollipop Shop.
Family movies will be played on an inflatable screen on Main Street in Historic Downtown Jonesborough beginning at dusk, approximately 8:45 p.m., and run every Saturday through Labor Day Weekend.
