ONE MILE COMPETITIVE RUN SET FOR
SEPTEMBER 29TH IN DANDRIDGE
Runners of All Ages are Invited to Join the Fun
August, 2012 – Runners of all ages are invited to participate in the first annual ‘Douglas Dash.’ This one mile race, co-sponsored by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dumplin Valley and the Dandridge Community Trust (Main Street Dandridge) features beautiful views ofDouglasLake,EnglishMountain, and historic downtown Dandridge.
Race day schedule includes registration from 7:30am – 8:45am, followed by the race at 9:00am, and concluding with the awards ceremony at 10:00am. Cash awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers. Additional awards will be given to the top three finishers in each of 16 age/gender divisions
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Pre-registration through September 14th
Adults (ages 13 & up) -$20
Children (ages 6-12) -$15
(Pre-registered runners will receive t-shirt on race day; others while supplies last)
Registration after September 14th
Adults – $25
“Main Street Dandridge is excited to be partnering with the Boys & Girls Club in bringing this first-time event to our community. We believe it will attract runners from within as well as outside of our community,” said Tina Murrow, Executive Director of Main Street Dandridge.

All proceeds from the Douglas Dash will go to the sponsoring organizations. Both of these non-profit groups work to enhance the quality of life in Jefferson County.
Race competitors and their families are invited to stay for the 6th annual Scots-Irish Festival, held in Dandridge on the same day.
