Davy Crockett’s 226th Birthday Celebration will be held on Friday, August 17th (his real birthday) from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Crockett Tavern Museum, 2002 Morningside Dr. in Morristown.
The celebration is free and will feature birthday refreshments, Jim Claborn as Davy, re-enactors, music by Mitchell Bradley, storytelling, tours of the museum and children’s activities.
An introduction of the History Channel short video clip on Crockett’s life in the area will be presented, along with new color Crockett info murals in the museum, completed by Gary and Carolyn Foreman of Native Sun Productions.
