Free Concert with Darrell Scott on Sunday

GREENEVILLE – Rural Resources invites the community to the last Dogwood Park Concert of the season Sunday, Sept. 9, beginning at 5 p.m.

The FREE show will feature nationally known Country-Americana artist Darrell Scott, as well as Ras Alan and native Greenevillians Steve Winslow and Ben Kirk.  Members of the Greeneville High School Marching Band and Summer Taylor of Johnson City will also perform.

Rural Resources will offer a local foods dinner with ice cream for dessert from the Creamy Cup and homemade apple pie.  There will be farm-based games and activities with prizes for children and door prizes for adults, all contributed by local businesses, restaurants, and banks.  The evening will end with fireworks.

Dogwood Park is located at 1725 Lafayette Street.  In case of rain, the event will be held at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center, 212 Tusculum Blvd.  For more information, contact Rural Resources at 423-636-8171.  The concert is sponsored by the East Tennessee Foundation and the Tennessee Arts Commission as well as Tri City Beverage, the City of  Greeneville, Greeneville Parks and Recreation, Graysburg Hills Farm, Snapps Ferry Packing, the General Morgan Inn, and Popcorn Video.
