Bliss Home Exhibit Reception
September 7, 2012 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Due to the positive response to her work, BLISS HOME has invited Beth Meadows back for more First Friday Fun as our featured artist in September!
“We’re thrilled by the tremendous reaction that Beth’s show received at its unveiling and throughout the month. We wanted to extend her exhibit so more Knoxvillians can experience her art,” notes Bliss Home Lead Design Consultant, Cherie Piercy.
Bliss Home will host a reception to reveal Beth’s new additions to her exhibit at 29 Market Square, from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, September 7.
Beth’s position as the Architectural Salvage Coordinator for Knox Heritage has provided her with plenty of historic building material, which is Beth’s preferred medium. Beth uses her art to exemplify the connection between old and new trends, and to invite the viewer to think about what defines something as classic. For September First Friday, art appreciators will view selected pieces from her esteemed Mason Jar Exhibit, which are hand-painted with acrylic on slate roof tiles or salvaged wood. Beth will also feature a few pieces, one of which is inspired by women’s fashion, and is constructed of salvaged windows and lace.
