BELLY DANCING FOR FITNESS: Crecia Jones is teaching a new class in Belly Dancing For Fitness at Rose Center. Classes will meet on Wednesday and Friday from 5:30 to 7 pm. The class fee is $6 per class or 5 classes for $25. Belly dancing is an excellent core builder, provides low impact cardio, is easy for all body types, improves flexibility and helps reduce lower back pain. Jones will teach the Mediterranean style belly dancing for fitness. Students will learn footwork, arm movements, undulations, shimmies and more. Students should wear comfortable, loose clothing. Belly dancing is preferably done barefoot but socks with non-skid soles work well too. Jones has been belly dancing for ten years and enjoys the fluid movement, music and old world culture. She says, It’s easy to do and gives you a very good workout that you don’t realize you’ve done until the next day. Plus, it’s just fun!
