Cake Decorating Class at the Rose in Morristown

BASIC CAKE DECORATING:

Learn how to decorate your own cakes and other goodies for birthdays and special events in this fun class, using the Wilton method. Some of what students will learn are the basic cake, borders, and the Wilton rose.

The class will be offered from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays beginning June 7. The class will meet for five weeks with a fee of $35. Pre-registration is required.

Lora Hammond is the instructor for the course. Hammond has been decorating cakes and taking classes since 1974. She is a member of the International Cake Exploration Society and takes classes and seminars each year in new styles and techniques. She was honored with the Southeast Territory Wilton Method Instructor of the Year award for 1998. Her cakes have been featured in industry publications including a recent cover feature. She also teaches at industry conventions.
